Young people benefit greatly from supportive environments that help them grow, learn, and develop confidence in themselves. Foothills Healthcare supports several programs that focus on youth development, family support, and educational growth throughout southern Kentucky.
These programs provide resources and structured environments where young people can develop the skills needed to build healthy and successful futures.
Supporting Teen Growth and Development
One of the programs supported by Foothills Healthcare is Otter Creek Academy, a residential treatment program for teenage girls located in Monticello. The program provides a structured setting where students can focus on education, emotional wellness, and personal development.
Through therapeutic support, educational programming, and daily life structure, Otter Creek Academy helps young women build the confidence and life skills needed to succeed in their future goals.
Helping Young Adults Transition to Independence
Another important program is the Kentucky Youth and Children’s Foundation Independent Living Program, located in Somerset. This program helps young adults ages 18–21 develop practical life skills as they transition into adulthood.
Participants learn skills related to employment, financial management, education planning, and personal responsibility, helping them build a strong foundation for independence.
Strengthening Families and Communities
By supporting programs that focus on youth development and family support, Foothills Healthcare helps strengthen communities throughout Monticello, Somerset, Russell Springs, and surrounding areas.
When young people are given the right tools and guidance, they are better equipped to pursue their goals and create brighter futures.
